  • Selected to turn around struggling plant to improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (productivity) and Morale (SQDCM). Created plan to instill culture of process improvement focused on leadership team skills, implementing standards, visual management, problem solving, process discipline, escalation, leader standard work. Saw improvement in first pass yield of 54%, on-time delivery of 98%, productivity of 14%, and 40% reduction in lost time injury rate.
  • Mentored multiple team members throughout career. Created IDPs to develop leadership, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills leading to eventual promotions. Established three-year vision and action plans for departments, developed a team charter, with regular follow-up meetings to discuss progress to plant.
  • Empowered team to shrink manufacturing footprint of a value stream through multiple, concurrent lean improvement (kaizen) events. Resulted in complete re-layout of assembly line, combining work areas, and shrinking from six to five mainline stations, reducing assembly footprint by 1,800 sqft. Improved flow in fabrication by combining weld cells and reducing SWIP inventory, reducing fabrication footprint by 4,000 sqft.
